Online Love -- Does It Exist?
Do you think online love exists? By online love I mean, can you know someone only online and really love them?
Most people I know say no. But I dunno.
I've known this guy for a couple years. He lives in New Zealand and I live in the states, in Oregon to be exact. We met on IRC in a music room and got to talking about music. He actually had completely different taste than me - he likes more classic stuff like Pink Floyd and Zeppelin, I like Coldplay, Lifehouse, Fiona Apple, etc.
Anyway, over the course of a few months we talked a lot through IM and email. Wow! This guy was pretty cool. After about 2 months he finally got a picture of himself scanned. I thought it was a fake because he was pretty cute. Not my usual tastes, but cute.
It's been just over 2 years now. We talk on the phone every couple weeks, we email each other all the time. We pretty much remain exclusive to each other even though we've never met.
My friends think I'm crazy. They're always trying to set me up with random guys, take me out to bars, etc. But I've had enough of that.
So, me and this guy. I'll call him Jim. He's coming to visit me in a few days and I'm really, really freaked out. I mean, will he be the guy I love? Or someone else?
Do you think it's possible to fall in love with someone you've never met?

yes, it does exist
Oh lol I didnt know this post is old..but it doesnt matter. Anyways, yes I believe online love does exist. I am kinda like you and I've experienced that. The difference is we both live in the same country,just different province. We first met on intranet, not internet chat. And it works! The main key is you have to turn it to be true, not let it to remain online. Why not make an appointment to meet in real life?Yes, it'll require a big fat plan (and realisation, of course) to find out if he's right for you. That's what I did, and we're in our 3rd year of relationship, engaged and planning to get married (hopefully) next year! lol Best of luck for you!
