One Nation Under God...WHO'S NATION?!

Okay, everyone that has had email for more than 15 seconds has gotten one of these or something along these lines:
(copied from an actual email I JUST got)

"Don't buy Pepsi in the new can. Pepsi has a new "patriotic" can coming out with pictures of the Empire State Building, and the Pledge of Allegiance on them.
However, Pepsi left out two little words on the pledge, "Under God." Pepsi said they didn't want to offend anyone. In that case, we don't want to offend anyone at the Pepsi corporate office either! So if we don't buy any Pepsi product, they will not be offended when they don't receive our money that has the words "In God We Trust" on it."

The one I like best is the fact that every government office shuts down on every HOLY day...I want my mail and food stamps (LOL joking, don't get those but you get the point) on SUNDAY and CHRISTMAS and EASTER....and as a matter of fact, I want all my government dealings on any religious day since the government doesn't want to offend anyone either and im quite offended that they take GOD out of everything except a paid day off?!

That's my thought for the evening.

Must be me

I must be a little slow this morning. It is, after all, 3am where I'm at. Are you ranting against or supporting the email?

Also, fyi, the controversy over the Pepsi can happened years ago and since there is only so much room on the can they only put a few words on it, not the entire pledge.

Interesting post.

Point made.

You go girl!

Save a horse, ride a cowboy!!!

Love it!

the point is the same

The Pepsi email was just an example and anyway who cares if this was done yesterday or 5000 years ago the point is the same and should be clear.

Okay

All right. Thanks for clearing that up. Just thought I'd pass this along.

The truth about the Pepsi conspiracy.

Thanks for the enlightenment ;)
