There was a recent movie competition in my hometown where anyone could submit just a one minute movie. Well, I ended up submitting mine. I will put up the link at the end of the blog so you may see the movie for yourselves.

The movie could be about anything, anything but it had to be under 60 seconds. There was also a grand prize for the winner of the competition.

The prize was obviously a mini Mac computer because the whole premise of the film festival was about micro movies or short movies.

Well, I had an idea about a cool little movie that I had always wanted to make but never had the chance to.

The story was simple enough, a guy who has a bad case of, well, I don't want to spoil it, but it could end up killing him if he doesn't take the necessary anti-killing medicine.

The deadline was in two days and I immediately got my actors and lighting. I already had access to a video camera by the help of my friend. We shot for four hours and I started editing like crazy the next day. I made the deadline that same day and I crossed my fingers when I submitted it.

There were about 18 people who submitted to this festival, but before the short movies were shown to the audience, we were introduced to independent filmmakers from across the United States and also filmmakers who submitted their movies to the ON THE LOT series that will be on FOX TV, which Steven Spielberg created.

Well, everyone seemed very enthused with all the movies and I was nervous as heck. When the votes were tallied and the winner of the Mini Mac called out, I was surprised and stunned that the presenter said my name.

I didn't believe it at first, I never win anything and I was looking around for the winner to head over to the front to get his autograph taken and etcetera.

My friends were pushing me to the front and I finally realized that I won. Well, I have my short one minute movie up on YouTube.com.

When I uploaded the video, for some reason, the video is somewhat dark, but you can still make out what is going on. Maybe it is my computer screen. Anyway, I hope that you enjoy my movie as much as I enjoyed making it.
