One Hell of a Reason to Quit Smoking NOW!

I was just at the dentist where I overheard a conversation in which two people were talking about a mutual acquaintance whose wife was just diagnosed with lung cancer. She had never smoked or drank in her life, but her husband had smoked for several years in the beginning of their marriage.

For an anniversary some years ago he had asked his wife what she wanted as a present and she told him she wanted him to quit smoking. And he did. But little did either of them know it would be too little too late. This conversation made chills go through me.

How many couples do we all know where one spouse smokes and the other doesn't? And how many of the non-smokers will be given a death sentence by their loved one's second hand smoke? It is disturbing, but too real. There isn't a day that goes by where I don't see a woman or man smoking in front of their children.....Smoking is nefarious. And if you do smoke and love anyone maybe their life is worth your quiting. Something to think about.
