Ok...Who DOES That???
PW wrote a blog about what she hears people say while they are on hold...it was well written and as usual very funny. Now this is what happened to me the other day.
I was put on hold by a young lady that goes by the name Jennifer...She told me she would be right with me but that she was a tad busy...I said ok, no problem.
15 solid minutes passed, so I finally hung up and called back. A young guy answers the phone and says that Jennifer has stepped out of the building to show an apartment! I was stunned!
Who does that? I mean she actually LEFT the building? Hellllooo? At that very moment I gave up and was thouroughly disgusted. How very rude! ARGH! I have trouble with patience, so this just totally blew me away. There will come a day when Mz. Jennifer comes to eat at my restaurant, and I just hope I am her waitress! I will "step out" do some shopping, get my toenails clipped, then bring her her tea! ARGH!

There's no way, sassys,...
I'd have gone out without a major rant to a supervisor or someone; that's just uncalled for. Yeah, I'd have gotten her fired, and not batted an eye!

I wish I could have done just that Catfish!

They were all equally rude though...it's what made me decide on another place!
All the way to the president, Sassys,...
if that's what it would have taken for satisfaction, and if he'd also been a jerk, then it's news time!

I wish I had the time to do that Catfish

but between looking and doling out 50 bucks a pop (for credit checks) it gets to be very depressing and very expensive! I finally got a place to call home yesterday...but only after my daughter went into this one place and explained our particular situation to this one lady who was great (thank God) and said that there was no good reason to deny us. She also said that this is the time of year when most people rent, so they have an edge when it comes to being picky...yet they all where more than willing to stick out their hands for that 50 bucks, knowing that my credit was not good enough...instead of being truthful and upfront with me...Bastards!
Sorry I missed this one, Sassys.
I can NOT believe the bitch did that!!! The incompetent, insolent BITCH! I agree with Catfish. I'd have been on the phone to a supervisor - no matter how much time it took.
I also can not believe they are charging you $50 a pop for a credit check. That's just highway robbery. The bastards. Glad you finally found a place. Thank god there are still some decent people in the world.
yeah PW the place we finally got
Sassys
cost us $125 dollars more but it's big and it has a screened in porch. I am thrilled, and guess what I'm getting? A new kitten! I am so excited just about that let alone the new place...I know that Karma will get those people in the end...it's so sneaky the way they do it...it matters not how honest you are with them because basically they are dishonest with you in return. They lied to my daughter about why she didn't qualify and that set me off BIG time! There are only 3 things that can and will disqualify one from renting..1)An eviction.
2)Owing the IRS (they will leave your ass homeless! BASTARDS)Or last but not least, 3)Bankruptsy...Now my daughter is only 21 years old she had NONE of those on her credit and actually does have some good stuff on it. I think it was a case of discrimination to be perfectly frank with you. Virtually everyone that works there is black and not one tenant that came in was white.
The new place has a nice mixture of both black and white as well as old and young...that's better for me anyways!
I'm so glad you found a great place!!!
I know how hard you have worked to get back on your feet.
Yeah, the Universe will repay you, no matter what you put out there. You're right about that!
When do you move in?
This weekend PW YAY!!!!

I am determined to do it MY way for a change...I will live without furniture (I do have a bed, of course!)but I want nice stuff. Beggars can't be choosers is true, but choosers don't have to beg either! I like my own thinking sometimes sheesh!
Do it your way, Sassy-girl and you know it will be done
the right way! I like your thinking, too! LOL! If you absolutely have to have a chair you can get a plastic one for $5.00 (or less) at the dollar store. Save your money for the good stuff. My house is a showcase for lovers of "Early Garage" but it's comfortable and I've got slip covers on the upholstered stuff, so I'm happy.
Happy moving! Eeesh! I don't envy you that part - but the getting settled and comfy - now that's the good part!
