    Find the cost of freedom,
    Buried in the ground.
    Mother earth will swallow you,
    Lay your body down.
      - Neil Young

Halliburton and Karl Rove coming,
Rich men’s moneybags swell and pad;
Every day I hear the tom-toms drumming,
“Four more dead in Baghdad."

Gotta get down to it, our
Soldiers are getting cut down, we
Shoulda been in there long ago;
What if you knew him, he’s
In that bag on the ground,
Can you turn away when you know?

Gotta get down to it, our
People are getting cut down, we
Shoulda been in there long ago;
What if you knew her, she’s
Under that flag on the ground,
How can you run when you know?

Halliburton and King George coming,
See how their profits make oilmen glad;
Every day I hear the tom-toms drumming,
“Four more dead in Baghdad."
