Office Organization

I need to find a way to organize my office supplies. Here's the situation. I have a little cubbyhole home office opposite some shelves. Because the shelves are close to my room, they have become a handy resting place for anything no one can find a home for. And I do mean anything – the list includes cough syrup, a collapsible coat hanger and a set of speakers. Instead of this clutter, I have visions of stationery in a tidy row.
