Obama's Coming To Portland

It's no secret that I support Barack Obama. I've made donations to his campaign. I would love to see him and hear him speak in person and now I finally have the chance. Obama will be in Portland at the Memorial Coliseum on Friday, March 21st, at 9:30 am.
Will I be there? Nope. Why? Cause I'll be at work. Yep, my ass will be sitting at a desk, jockeying a phone, and putting up with whatever mental abuse callers wish to dish out instead of attending a speaking engagement that could prove to be uplifting and motivational.
Sonofabitch! Just to add insult to injury, The Memorial Coliseum is only about a mile, if that, from where I work.
Well, that's my problem, not yours. So, if you happen to be in the in the Portland area this Friday and would like to see Obama in person, click the link below to get a ticket. Don't worry, it's free.

Aw. Sorry you won't get a
Aw. Sorry you won't get a chance to see him in person. There's still a while left until the primary(caucus?), isn't there? I think with such a long time before the next round of elections, you may have the opportunity to see him again.
IG
It's ok. I'm going to see if I can somehow manage to get it approved to take a little time off that day for this. We'll see how that works
Come and see what I'm rambling about now

I wish you luck. I wanted
I wish you luck. I wanted to see him when he came to my state, but it would have involved pulling my kids out of school early and driving for a couple of hours. I hope I will have ample opportunity later this summer, when the candidates will be readily found in a nearby popular swing state (after the conventions).
Poor Sean. I know how you
Poor Sean. I know how you feel. Obama was in Dallas a few weeks ago and I was at work, too. Crap! I would have loved to listen to him in person.
PW,
I was hoping he would have come on a saturday. I'm free all day on saturdays. But no. Oh, well.

Hell Sean
Sassys
I bet you could play hookies. I mean people do that to go watch some sport or other. No?
Sean-didn't you say something like
you had a doctors appointment or something like that???
You know, to see how the old knee is coming along...
Just trying to help a fellow supporter out here--lol.
I heard him say that, too,
I heard him say that, too, Ammorton. I distinctly remember Sean saying he had a Dr.'s appt. Or was it the dentist? Something like that....
LOL!
PW, AM, Sassys
The funny thing is, I actually do have a Dr. appointment that day. I go to start physical therapy and I will already be leaving work early for that.

Then fib for a sec Sean!
Sassy
Leave the docs office a little earlier and go see Obama!
and so they were a little backed up and
you had to wait a little longer to be seen. Also...they are short staffed due to the....flu, ya, that's it.
Then you can sneak over and see Obama.
Ok, as bad as I know this flu is that is going around, mabey you shouldn't use that excuse...I would hate to see it come back and bite you in the butt.
But if your already away from work, I dont see the harm in running by there to see him.
man, that sucks, Sean
That really does suck. And, I'm sure if you didn't have the doctor's appointment, the time you were already forced to take off would make it impossible for you to play hookie. Well, on the bright side, this probably won't be your only chance.
