Obama and his “Plagiarized speeches”

Obama has deemed it necessary to use someone else’s words to try and win the presidency of the United States of America? Not likely! I don't think any fair minded sole will vote for a man running for office who uses someone else’s work to get there. If he was in a college class he would be suspended for a few weeks for cheating on the test.... Maybe that's something from his past? Maybe that is how he became a senator? Maybe that is how he became a lawyer? Maybe that is what makes him sound like a preacher?
I have to say the preacher thing really bothers me. I really don't like the fact that he can rattle on and on and pretty soon you feel like the crowd is all going to break out in cumbala (sp). It isn't political it's like a religious experience and I don't what anything that looks like religion when it comes to my government. That's a whole other topic!
I will never vote for a republican! That being said, what will the majority of true Democrats do if Obama is the nominee? I suspect there will be a lot of heavy drinking and staying home! Since the majority of Democrats want Hillary and the independents are manipulating the democrat nominee to be Obama knowing full well they will vote for McCain I’d say McCain pretty much has it in the bag…. Iraq, Iran, all look out! We’re going to kick some ass in your region to making you the biggest and baddest ever seen in human history! National debt, no problem, Bankruptcy of a nation – priceless! For everything else there’s Master Card! China I now pronounce you the proud owner of a Dead Elephant!

American Rhetoric,
Looks like this is something that's going around.
Please read here
Come and see what I'm rambling about now
Thanks Lovett - doesn't look like much
He's been a Senator for a while now and in the last few years there has been very little accomplished. He did more before he got there! He was supposedly against the war - the real problem being he wasn't in the senate to vote on it... a little like a arm chair quarter back wouldn't you say? And that is his big claim to fame...? Well hell's bells lets make him president! I know his lack of presence in the senate at the time and his inability to actually have an voice on that decision convinces me he should be running our country!! Duhhh!

Yawn.
The plagiarism is such a non-issue, and it isn't even close to being plagiarism. What troubles me much more is that when asked if Clinton had ever plagiarized someone's words on the campaign trail, they gave a flippant answer that basically said, "I'd be very surprised if she didn't." So hypocritical.
And since when did "the majority of Democrats want Hillary"? You do realize Obama is ahead in the popular vote, delegate count, and number of states, even with Florida and Michigan added. That just doesn't sound like the overwhelming majority you're making it out to be.
Furthermore, don't even start the "true Democrats" crap. My voter id is as blue as anyone else who voted in my state's election, no matter who we voted for. Or are we going the route of Republicans, and one subgroup decides for the entire party?
Yawn is right...
The independents are pushing him over the top and yes a sub group is teaming up with the independents to do so. Not only that his wife talks about she is "For the first time really proud of her country"
I got a recommendation... try Kenya!

That's not Fair, AMR
her reference was to the politics of this country not the country itself. This is not the first time there has been an African American on the ballot for president, but it is the first time a major political party has embraced an African American. It is very clear from her comments that she is proud of Americans for rally support for her husband. Grow up....Obama may not be perfect, but who is?
She said what she said.... No interpretation necessary
At every turn there seems to be the need for someone to defend her rambling. What she can't speak clearly? Obviously she can't speak for herself!
What is with this need to protect them? You think you can protect them from the republican spin and slice and dice machine? Good luck with that.
If we can’t take them for what they say and we have to have interpretations on every word I don’t think they are what we are looking for!

Twisting what someone else says has gotten to be
standard operating procedure for politicians and journalists over the past few years. Naturally, people who heard the entire speech are going to defend her. Sheesh! You can barely open your mouth anymore without someone putting their own spin on what you said - or what they think you said - or what they want other people to think you said. I wish we could all just agree to act like adults and stop playing little grade-school games.
And who is? Hillary?
You don't think the Republican machinery won't slice and dice Hillary? You don't think they won't dig up every little dirty secret? Hillary is hurting herself....things like pointing at Obama over "borrowing" a thin slice of his friend's speech.....her accusations looked petty and it flew back in her face not Obmam's. I have been undecided but it is things like that that turn me in one direction or the other.
When Obama was pushed, his come back brought the place down in Ohio....he answered Hillary that NAFTA hasn't put any jobs on the table either....when she accused him of being all talk and no action.
Most Americans have had enough dirty politics to last a lifetime. If the Republicans start it again, I will predict it will cause a LANDSLIDE victory for the democratic party. Americans have been "educated" by the dirty politics of Bush and cronies and we have suffered for it too. I think Americans will boycott the first party that uses slurs and dirty politics because we have seen the kind of leader it has produced!
Ms. Zola, I think we are already seeing some of that
happening - that is, Hillary's slurs against Obama seem to be backfiring already. A large part of her base, the blue collar workers, voted for Obama in Wisconsin. Americans are very tired of politicians who spend most of their campaign time maligning the other candidates. And that is the very thing that will turn me, once and for all, away from Hillary.
Just One More Truth about Obama
Here is one of Obama's people on Chris Mathews..... Why is it that we can't get any answers about What Obama's accomplishments are revealing what his Plan for change is? And no, I don't need any interpretations of his inability to answer the question! He said NOTHING!!!!

Rhetoric,
He's a supporter. Not a campaigner. Furthermore, he was put on the spot. The woman who supported Clinton in that same segment was just as antsy when it turned to her. It's because these people are simply voting for the person they think is best, not acting as paid spokespeople for the campaign.
I have no desire to discuss this with you any further. You've made it very clear that you do not have any desire to discuss it. Instead you want to bash until everyone sees it your way. Good luck with that.
P.S. If you truly gave a damn about what Obama stands for, you'd look. It's not that hard to figure out for those who actually put the tiniest amount of effort into it.

If a Senator can't tell you what he's done...A politician supporting a candidate.... I would say its pretty minimal wouldn't you... You're still trying to sell snake oil. I'm not buying!

Obama needs to be very careful here!!!
Sassys
Obama is indeed a very fresh breath of air...Hillary needs to figure out a way to fight him "fairly". We win no matter which of the two gets the nomination...Hillary does have a sordid background, and we don't know enough about Obamas background to be fighting about it.
AR you have the right to be upset about Obamas "plagiarism" but like Sean said, if we dig deep enough we will probably find Hillary has done the same thing at some time or another. As far as Michelle Obama saying what she said about being proud for the first time blablabla...I tend to agree with her...You yourself have had issues with the lack of respect the Bush regime has made us out to look like a bunch of greedy, killers abroad...so I take what she said to mean that it is time we ALL felt proud to be Americans again. She was talking about respecting our nation as a whole...and for my money I think either one of these candidates would do that job nicely, except that one promises to end the death and destruction sooner than the other...like I said either way we will win.
You got it sassys... but
In my opinion there is a right and wrong way to deal with the Iraq mess. We have created a shit hole of that place, even more than it was to begin with. We have a responsibility to insure that we don't allow it to fall into the hands of the terrorists we have allowed to come into Iraq. America needs to get out but we need to take care of our responsibilities in the process. We don’t rebuild respect around the world by leaving that country in a state of destruction that we created. Therefore, I agree with Clintons plan to leave responsibly.

We need to fix what is wrong in America and Iraq and Afghansitan
Sorry for the long title, but it sumarizes our responibility to not only the Middle East but everyone around the world, we need to start here and get our government working, and with a working government we will have a working country. When our country is working and we lead ourselves then others can follow our lead and the world can start working together.
We are a divided globe and we will fall apart if we don't work together for justice and peace.
I'm Afraid
it is getting late in the game. China literally owns us. Bush has dragged his feet on alternative fuel...yeah....some of the oil companies will go out of business, but new companies will emerge, but maybe they won't belong to his circle of friends.....so......the American people are losing their homes, can't do much more than fill their gas tanks and we watch as 12 billion dollars a month finds its way to Iraq and in the meantime millions of American kids are going without health care, millions are failing in the school systems as Bush underfunded his own program but not enough so that his brother didn't make a tidy penny on the No Child Left Behind Program.....we have 160,000 troops stationed in Iraq....being constantly recycled through....whose going to pay for all of this? Oh yeah....the American people.....the same people without decent health care, the same people whose jobs have been out sourced....the same people whose pocketbooks are drained at the gas pump. I guess we can print more money and say....do you want cheese on that burger?
I know...
I'm rather tired of the run-around, and I skip meals and find that I might have to kick up my energy levels while cutting back on my eating habits just to make ends meet. When you have to choose between food and fuel, phone service and the mortgage, I can't cut my healthcare even though I might want to. The world especially our government is really messed up by the lies of the liars.
They say one thing and promise to commit to a contract and do just the opposite.
You are so right in what you write, your words send shivers down my spine, both in good and bad ways which is good because what you write is all true.
Thank You ;)
Peace and Blessings,
Sincerely,
Gary
