Not another advertisement, just a rant-ish entry

Does anyone remember the old days, when message boards were filled with...messages? Actual people were having legit conversations, not just copying and pasting their 'work at home opportunities' or plugging a site or product. These days, everyone has an angle, a plan to get the money flowing effortlessly into the bank.

Many blogs are also choked with ads, instead of the personal 'slice of life' content we crave. Or at least I do! This isn't a personal shot at anyone on this site, BTW. Write what you want, and I'll read what I like. That's the deal, right?

Besides, I've been guilty of this myself, using the internet as my own personal publicity machine. That's alright in small doses, in the right forum, but not what I want to paste on a party smile to blog about on here. So, I'm going to try something new.

My blog entries from now on will be about things other than ways to make money. They may be insightful, deep, or incredible shallow and stupid, but they'll be about something else. I intend to use this site as the internet gods intended; as a soapbox and personal ego stroker!
