Nostalgia
Tonite I'm feeling nostalgic
Too much so to spend time with a stranger
I wanna lay with my baby
Or have a beer with my dad and talk about the future
Mine as the one who never met his potential
And his as the drug abuser
Feeling nostalgic thinking about things I did
Feeling nostalgic thinking about my future kids
I’m gonna tell them to be individual, be accountable
Be Great, be responsible
Nostalgia is the smile on your face contemplating first loves
Blurry visions of loved ones lost, looking down from above
A scar from a boo boo
Someone that looks familiar
How thin you used to be when you look in the mirror
Nostalgia is so powerful it evokes other emotions
Nostalgia is how you’ll remember me when I’m gone
I wrote the first 6 lines of this over a year ago. I could never quite figure out in which direction to go in or something I deemed worthy because I really like those first few lines. It's rare that I actually really like a poem I write. This is okay. Some of it is good. I'm sure I will revise it one day.

Not whack, bro
A lot better than most of the babble that I've seen pass for poetry. You see the rough spots at least as well as I.
Just know, in case you didn't. You can tell kids all you like, you can even show them. And then they will go their own way. Eh? All you can do is hope you've instilled enough foundation so that they'll do the right thing more often than not.

thanks. yea there are some rough transitions and it ends kind of abruptly. But I have been wanting to finish it for so long. Will revise at a later date.

Thanks. I guess you could call me James for BP purposes. But if you saw me on the street you would probably want to call me Jamar. Might have to say James a few times before I responded.
Yea I write some poetry, but I don't post that much. I have to like what I write more than a little to post it.

My name is James
My first name is James and my middle name is Jamar. My family has always called me Jamar for some reason so I never really liked James. It always sounded too formal. When I got older and started playing poker I would use James Champion when I played online or in tournaments. I had to find a last name that suited James and also meant something. I went with Champion.
