Tonight is the premire of the Nightmares and Dreamscapes movie, which is based on the Stephen King book of the same name. The movie is a series of short films which are based on the short stories contained in the book.

I don't typically care for Stephen King. I have a few favorite stories, but I am usually very upset with how awful the movies turn out. Some of my favorite stories of his are in this book, and some of my favorites from this book have been included in the movie.

"The End of the Whole Mess" is one of my all-time favorites. It's a cool story. A guy tries to save the world and ends up destroying it.

"Crouch End" is one of my favorite scary stories by Stephen King. I don't really go for those crappy stories where fingers come out of drains or plastic teeth chomp into you. "Crouch End" isn't like that. It's just scary from start to finish. A couple goes to London, and they get lost. Only they aren't lost in London anymore. They simply slip through to a different, horrifying dimension.

"They Got a Hell of a Band" is interesting. It's about a couple who finds themselves in the presence of Rock and Roll legends. But as King has said elsewhere, hell is repetion.

Some really good actors signed on to do the movie. William H. Macy, Claire Forlani, William Hurt, and the very sexy Jeremy Sisto. I can't wait to see what they do with the material.
