Night Clubs, Moet Chandon and White Castle!

When I was single, I had a very good friend that I hung out with regularly. I was on the guest list for most of the clubs in the city and she would accompany me. We clubbed hard almost every day of the week. Somwhow, I managed to make it to college in the morning and work in the day and night. (I was working a fulltime and parttime job and doing some acting and modeling on the side). I had a busy schedule, a foreshadowing of what was to come perhaps?

Our nights were always crazy, but the routine was the same. We loved Moet, (which had to wait until we arrived safely home since she was driving), the clubs and White Castle. Yes, we were ADDICTED to the cheese fries. I could easily eat 15 burgers, 3 chicken burgers with a pack of fries and onion rings and still wear a size 1. (of course, it helped that i was always on the run). We would often start and finish our night at the White Castle drive thru. Funny, no matter which White Castle we went to, there was always one pan handler and an employee with huge door knocker earrings! It was like every White Castle was stuck in the twilight zone!

That was back when I lived in the Bronx. Now I live in upstate NY and we don't have a White Castle. There was a rumor that one was being bilt and of course the the old city dwellers were ecstatic. But alas, it was just a cruel rumor!

I'm grateful for those carefree days that I experienced. Living the way I do with 7 kids and no help is insane. It helps to remember those crazy times and to hold on to the hope that I will once enjoy a life aside from mommy duty...
