News Flash: China Buys Google?

Submitted by Radreview on April 2, 2006 - 12:41am.

A cryptic message on Google's Canteen Menu reports that the massive U.S. high-tech search engine company has sold 140 million shares of stock to a Chinese firm, according to a report in The Register, an online techzine.

That much stock changing hands would give the Chinese Ministry of Information a controlling interest in the company.

The Register claims to have been digging around Google headquarters in Mountain View for six months chasing down details of this story that, should it be proven true, will send shock waves throughout the business world.

More later.

Both did. Their reason is this- if you are doing business in another country, you are constrained to follow their laws. I have no comment on China buying google (I am not sure YET if that is true), but billions live in China and the business opportunities there are obviously HUGE!
