If not, here's a brief explanation of the company: Epocrates, Inc. recently announced that healthcare professionals can now access a free online version of its popular mobile drug and forumulary guide. Available information includes: dosing, pricing, potential drug interactions and Medicare Part D formulary coverage.

Epocrates is now adding patient education materials and clinical tools to the services mentioned above. Clinicians will now have access to view and print pictures of the pills, such as Lisinopril, which they can give to patients to help them identify their medications to reduce errors. Many doctors and patients will also be thankful for FAQ sheets that can be printed for patients to take with them. The patient-friendly educational handouts are available in English or Spanish and can also be emailed.
