My husband and I have been looking into making a move. We are hoping that getting away from the area, moving somewhere where we are away from some of the influences that have been a strain on our marriage, will help us be better able to work things out for our family. After all, some of our biggest problems stem from neither of us being happy with the home in which we have been stuck living for the past eight years. Unfortunately, a move would require us not only to be able to sell this house, but it would also require us to be able to get the financing we need in order to purchase a new home.

Sadly, for those of us with credit problems, it isn't always easy to get the financing we need. We had some financial issues a few years back, when our middle child was dealing with some health problems, and we are still trying to recover our credit. If we could just get our credit straightened out, we'd be able to get the financing we need to purchase one of the homes we've been looking at. However, straightening out our credit is a long process, and we're hoping to find a way to move as soon as possible.

We've thought about the possibility of just refinancing our mobile home and moving it to a new location, but we would be so much happier with a new house all together. This house was great for a family of four, but with the baby and the dog added in, it sometimes feels like it is bursting at the seams.

I think we're just going to try applying for a loan with Advantage, who specializes in mortgages for people with bad credit. Maybe then we can get out of here. If we could just sell this house...
