Nascent Idea of Fascism

It is very interesting to note that before the rise of Fascism in Germany and Italy, the political ideology prevailing during that time in those countries were liberal democracy. Liberal democracy advocated for freedom of speech ("free speech") and politcal "tolerance" of difference of opinions. But later the "superiority" of their nationhood that ultimately culminated in false and high-falutin notion of patriotism and morbidly negetive nationalism along with blind submission and loyalty paved the way for the things to change drastically on the other way round.Loud war rhetoric of the Nazis by cleverly manipulating the propaganda machine added fuel to the fire. Fear and terror tactics were capitalised to polarise the people and to bring them to the dragnet of national chauvinism so that the tenets of liberal democracy could be obfuscated and put to the cold storage. And in the process unity in diversity gave way to unity in linearity which proved to be dangerous trend at that time. Out of all these consequences Fascism set up its base among the German peoople and started rearing its ugly head.
