my stupid cat

for my b-day, i splurged, and bought myself a present. my parents gave me money, and i saw in the paper, there was a solid white, pure persian cat for sale. only 20 dollars! if you know how much those cats usually cost, you know what a steal this was! and i always wanted a pure white cat. my husband drove an hour and a half, just to pick up my cat for me. oh how i wish he hadn't. i used to own a persian cat. he pooped on everything we owned! it wasn't a big surprise to return home to a pile of poop in our bed, on the couch, chair, or a number of other places. i thought he just had an attitude problem. now i think it may be something to do with the breed. my b-day cat likes to poop in the master bedroom, in corners, and her favorite, in my son's room. happy b-day to me! i bought myself a pooping machine! anyone want a cat?!?

Cat language

Do a little internet research on cat behavior. Pooping in places other than the litter box is a way a cat communicates dissatisfaction. Sounds like you are both a little disappointed with each other. The cat is trying to communicate with you in a way it will be heard.

Cats are very clever and they can be trained. Like the above post suggests, your cat may be unhappy about something. Try to find out what it is. Where should your cat go to the toilet? Litter box? Outside? Is the area comfortable enough for the cat to go to the toilet? Not meaning to be rude or anything but the cat won't go if he/she doesn't feel comfortable enough. Maybe your cat doesn't like the litter you use? If the cat goes outside, maybe he/she feels threatened by something? Investigate a little. Hope this helps. :)

actually, what you said makes a lot of sense. we had a cat before we got her, and they don't get along. maybe she feels threatened by her. thanks for the advice, and no, i didn't think you were being rude.
