My Rights, Your Rights...And Womens RIGHTS!!!
I saw a tid bit on the news last night that totally blew me away! Did you know that here in good ole Ga. if I take my prescription for contraceptives to any pharmacy the pharmacist has the right to deny me my purchase? Based on the Pharmacist's personal beliefs? If the pharmacist is a pro life person they have the right to BREAK THE LAW!!!
This is what Bush has been busy, busy doing while he waits for us to kick his sorry ass to the White House curb.
Women in this country need to start getting upset about this before "little Suzie" comes home pregnant.
The Pharmacist that refused to fill an order for contraceptives had NO issue with selling condoms though! We are getting closer to the 1950s than not...and since when does a pharmacist have the right to tell ANYONE anything??? Next thing you know they will be legislating their "beliefs" on pain meds...HELLO??? Our moron President is giving power to the people...the fact that the people are skewed matters not to him, because he is just as skewed. Now who was it that said he shouldn't be impeached? I still beg to differ.

I'd heard this, Sassys,...
and it's another thing that keeps me up north for the most part. Not that we're all that much ahead overall, but there are certain things like this that just won't fly in NY.
Reviews of Everything, reviews and opinions of, well, almost anything!
Oh they will fly in NY Catfish
http://bloggerparty.com/blog/sassys
according to "CNN" or what I call "Can't Negotiate News" this has become quite a "trend"...but it's the sneaky crap Bush's up to behind the scenes while the country is riveted on the Olympics and the up coming election that is truly atrocious....Yet again another reason why it matters that Obama wins, his very first agenda is to put our Constitution back to rights. No pun intended.
Oh yeah, Sassys. Power to some people, not to all people.
Talk about elitist!!! These asshats (love that word) want to force us all to live like they think we should live. That's not to say that they actually live the way they want us to live. I'd bet you anything that that particular pharmicist is not all that particular about where he puts his dick, which is why he has no problem selling condoms, but he wants to inflict different rules on women. The fucking Hypocrite!
PW?? On a Sunday??

LMFAO!! I too like the asshat word(?) And yet this pharmacist would be the FIRST to get upset with the dreaded Muslims for their beliefs...wanna bet this idiot would send his own kids off to fight against the Iraqis to keep our motherland "free"...it's beyond me how some people can live in a perpetual fog and feel justified with their total hypocrisy. It's ok to allow our kids to die in Iraq but God forbid a woman that has the LEGAL RIGHT to use contraceptives, should choose to use this troglodytes (another great word) pharmacy. UGH!
LOL! Yep, I had to break into my Sunday veg-out
to pay some bills. Aaarrrggghhhh!!! Love makin' the money - hate spendin' it. At least, I hate spending it on shit like electricity, mortgage, water...you know, all those things you have to have to live.
Ah yes, another great word - troglodyte - and it describes that asshat so well. I totally agree, that bastard is probably up on his soapbox all day long about Muslims because he wants to force everyone to think his way.
Frankly, I'm not nearly as afraid of extremists in the Middle East. At least they want to kill you outright. These so-called Christian extremists want to force you to live - and to live like they want you to live. In my view, that's forcing me into a lifetime of pure torture. I'd rather have death. And no, that's not an exaggeration, I really would rather be dead.
And it's about time these clinical idiots learned that we are not going to let them take over our country. If they want to live like cavemen that's their business but they have no right to force the rest of us back into the caves.
Go to this website now and sign Hillary's petition to help stop these bastards from choosing what we do with our bodies. It doesn't matter what you think about Hillary, this is not a partisan fight. This is a woman's fight.
That's a great link PW...Thank you!!

I will sign up for that for sure! Did you hear about the town in Iowa or some such place that has instituted Martial Law? They are indeed taking us back to the dark ages...instead of "got milk?" it will be "got constitution?" yikes.
It was Arkansas and there was a pretty darned good
reason for it, Sassys. Seems this part of town was pretty much over-run with drug dealers carrying Ouzzis, etc. They've arrested a shit-load of them and the people that are complaining are the ones that are having their drug business interrupted by the curfew. Also, that part of town is about 50% vacant houses, which was probably the reason for the problem in the first place - not enough residents, too much privacy for the drug dealers.
I know that this "part of town" PW
http://bloggerparty.com/blog/sassys
was and is a war zone...at least it is to the poor people that have to live there...however you actually are making my point for me...that is that if it's just this small part of town then why the hell is the whole state under lock and key? Also there is no way that you can tell me that people in said town wont stand up and say piss off to the dealers etc. The problem is that the cops may not be the best protection and they themselves know this...since when is it ok for any cop to ask me or you what we are doing "out and about at 3 a.m?" The reasoning on this is skewed because it puts too much power in the hands of authority and no accountability. Kind of like what happened to my daughter in Avondale Estates, they did not care that she was a witness to their brutality and they let her know it by ignoring the look of shock on her face. We are not at war with our own people and yet it's looking more and more like we are on a daily....ya know?
Sassys, I don't know where you're getting your information,
but it's only one part of one town in Arkansas and the citizens actually asked for it. The article I read did say that the town officials were thinking of extending it to other parts of the town if it became necessary but it's definitely not the entire town and certainly not the entire state.
I'm not saying that I disagree with what you are saying, I'm just saying that you appear to have read a skewed version of what's really going on.
As for putting too much authority in the hands of the police, well, you already know what I think about that. There has to be accountability. But I have no problem with a cop asking me what I'm doing out and about at 3AM if he has a good reason. And there you go, that gray area of "good reasons." LOL!
