I used to watch America's Next Top Model like a junkie. I loved the fact that it was a trainwreck and completely NOT like what the real world of fashion modeling is all about. It was fun to make fun of, although I did always like to see what market the girls would end up in, be it Paris, London Or Capetown, so that I could reminisce about my own time there (although I did not end up in Capetown...but went everywhere else). And I do think that some of the girls on the show had potential to work internationally....although those weren't always the ones that won.

But this season, after watching the premiere, I decided to quit ANTM cold turkey. The girls are blah, not true model material (although I could see the twins working in a more editorial market), and Tyra is on her way to being the next Janice Dickinson. Obnoxious & insane. I'll probably check in to see where they end up traveling to (since I am and always will be a travel junkie) but that is it. I can't handle seeing one more over photoshopped picture or see another catfight or hear another girl say she thinks she is the best thing since sliced bread. It's over. Done. I'll stick to HGTV to fulfill my television watching needs from now on, thank you.
