My negative experience with stemenhance

About three months ago I was introduced to stem enhance by a retired doctor who practiced homeopathic medicine during his medical career. I heard and I read so many impressive testimonials about the beneficial effects of this supplement that I decided to give it a try. Needless to say it was very expensive and I was only able to get two months worth of the supplement, after splitting the introductory 6 bottles three ways among my sister, my mother and myself. I took it for two months and I was impressed to realize that my far less than 20/20 vision appeared to be improving. I remembered testimonials that claimed improvement for cases of maccular degeneration and I was happy to realize such an improvement. Up to now all was great. However, my limited funds did not allow me to buy more of the stem enhance and I have now been out of it for about a month. Unfortunately I have noticed that my vision is no longer as good as it was when I took the stem enhance. Even worse, it seems to have been reduced even further than what it was before I started taking it. This type of retrogressive effect has me stumped. Should I continue taking the stuff? Am I hooked for the rest of my life?
I am again left to wonder, why is not the medical establishment accept the natural approaches to healing. I am sure that better research on these supplements is sorely needed. As it is, we all have to rely on anecdotal evidence and trial and error practices. Much of that stuff, obviously works but without the knowledge and the direction of a qualified physician we can run into trouble. On the other hand most physicians dismiss all natural remedies as quackery and yet nobody can deny the many benefits that people derive from them, in which case it is the doctors who are the quacks because they are too self absorbed to branch out and investigate these supplements. Their schools did not tell them anything about natural medicine so they discard it totally. The natural approach to medicine has been around since the beginning of time and it has been discarded by the medical establishment in favor of the interventionist kind of medicine. Personally this experience has made me even more discussed with the medical profession than I was before.
