My Magical Powers

ModelMom's picture

I've decided that I have magical powers...or maybe my bedsheets do. For the past 6 weeks, it has yet to fail that when I change my sheets to accomodate the weather (i.e. flannel for cold weather & cotton for warmer weather) the climate changes overnight.

Honestly, every time it is cold, I make the bed with our flannel sheets only to have weather in the mid 70's pop up out of nowhere the next day, and when I change back to the cotton ones so that my husband and I don't end up bathing in sweat while we are asleep, there is frost on our window box the next morning. What? Hmm......Maybe I should try conjuring up the winning lotto numbers......

Or maybe I should jsut stop putting sheets on my bed & sleep on a bare mattress, because this is getting annoying! LOL!

too true. i tend to predict the weather with my car as well.....wash it and it rains the next day or a flock of geese decides to fly over it (but then again geese & weather are two diff things. lol!)

And you live on the -west- coast?

Weather changes here in New England would drive you bats - and reinstate the textile industry in Maine :).

Perhaps you're in the market for an electric blanket?

How's the offspring, in and out of utero?

hey OC!

yep...i am on the west coast....pacific northwest. we do get mild weather compared to a lot of the country, although i am still used to the 365 days of summer that exists in southern california where i grew up.....never had flannel sheets there! LOL! an electric blanket sounds nice.....may have to get one of those after baby #2 is born. have heard debate about whether or not they are dangerous to a fetus, etc. kids are well.....little girl in utero is moving about, but not as wild as her brother was when i was pregnant with him, which i hope is a good sign. :-) he is a wild one. and recently has decided that he doesn't need to eat or sleep. lovely. i am ready for the terrible two's (so aptly named) to be o-v-e-r.

and how are you?

yeah, that would be a poor preparation for winter even in Oregon. I just spent the past year in Berkeley. cushy. especially compared to Maine. if only I could have afforded to breathe in the place. tough when you spend a king's ransom on heat in Maine and it's still cheaper than the Bay Area.

yeah, electric fields and the unborn. I wouldn't put much stock in those rumors. mind you I've never had an electric blanket. I just pile regular old non-high-tech blankets on or toss them off as needed.

didn't have trouble with hyper boys, having had no boys. also had no real difficulty with the twos. twenty-two's been another matter ...

me? like the old soldier said, passing well, passing well. like you might not be in the ninth month ... :)

No flannel sheets here!

I love Florida...

Model Mom, make sure you read about what my cat did in my blog. He deserves to move outside after that one!

read me!
