My love affair with Starbucks...

I haven't blogged in what seems like FOREVER! I get online and my mind wanders off and next thing I know an hour or more has passed and I've surfed dozens of different sites... but haven't blogged or written a thing.

I guess it happens to everyone though. Even the promise of money doesn't seem to be inspiration enough for me these days.

Luckily I think I've found a solution.

Starbucks.

See, last week I was thisclose to calling in "sick" and staying home from work because I could NOT get out of bed. Somehow I managed to drag myself out of bed and out the door but I made a small detour and stopped at my friendly neighborhood Starbucks. I had several Starbucks giftcards that I've been holding on to for months and decided that it would be a good time to put them to use.

So with mocha in hand, I made my way to work.

You would not believe how much work I accomplished that day! Every project that I'd been putting off all summer suddenly was being checked off of my to-do list. By the end of the day my desk was spotless and my entire office was re-organized.

Who know coffee had that kind of power?

It's true, I'm not much of a coffee drinker... but with results like that, I could definitely become one.

So needless to say, I've been stopping for Starbucks mochas almost on a daily basis and there seems to be no end in sight. Even after my "free coffee" source has dried up, I'm sure I'll gladly fork over the $4 and see it as an investment, not an expense.

What does this have to do with blogging? Well maybe... if I grab a mocha on the way home from work, I'll have the energy I need to do all the blogging and writing I keep telling myself I have to do.

It's worth a shot, right?
