My cat Joey has got to be the most cheeky cat I have ever had. I worked it out the other day that through my life I have had 11 cats, including the 2 I have now. I'm a cat lover you see. (duh!) But Joey, well he's something else entirely. Let me give you a few examples. I'll be sitting on the sofa breastfeeding my daughter, having just fed the cats. Joey sees this as his opportunity to do everything he knows he isn't allowed to do. They aren't allowed in the bedroom. So where does he go? Yep. The bedroom. Except he'll stop at the doorway first while I scream at him not to take another step, look over his shoulder in a way that I swear is like a dirty look, and stalk straight into the bedroom! Cheeky arse! He'll also try to raid the bin, right in front of me, knowing I can't do a damn thing about it! He'll steal the other cat's food, after sneaking past me. And when I do finish feeding the baby and get up to tell him off, do you know what he does then? He goes right into the bathroom, where the litter box is, and goes to the toilet. Except he aims at the wall so it all goes underneath the bloody box and all over the floor. I swear he does it on purpose! He also meows at the top of his voice just when I've managed to get my daughter off to sleep after 5 hours of her screaming. And believe me, if you saw the size of him, you would understand why him meowing would be a concern of mine. He can be a nice cat, but when he wants to be a pain in the ass, that's exactly what he is. And he knows all the buttons to press too. The other cat, Phoebe, is so well behaved too. I swear she looks at him sometimes and must be thinking 'What a dumb shit'. Of all the cats I've had, he puts them all to shame when it comes to downright stubborn-ness. Oh, plus he jumps on the cooker and the counters the moment you switch the lights off to go to bed. I caught him once. hehheheh. I switched the lights off and went to the toilet. He obviously thought I'd gone to bed or just couldn't be arsed waiting. When I came out the toilet he was licking one of the pots on the cooker, oblivious to the fact that I was standing there watching the bugger! Boy did he get a fright when he noticed me. Didn't stop him doing it again right enough. Sometimes the things he does make me laugh cos I'm thinking 'Why the hell are you acting so stupid?' He's fallen right into the bin trying to raid it before. These are the everyday antics of my not-so-smart giant sized cat, Joey. Cheeky arse.
