My blue garden dreams

Building a garden from scratch

Is there a place on the earth more comforting than your own garden? Is it possible to live forever?

If you plant a tree, a bush, a vine, a flower, maybe it will live and produce new plants and they will have new baby plants and...
I think this is the only way to keep on living, generation after generation, till the very end of the world: plant green things, tend to them, multiply them and pass the knowledge to your own children. No matter where you live, if you have a farm or just a window sill, make it your dream and reality to live with green plants!

There is a place in a northern archipelago somewhere in the Baltic Sea. There is a house, more than hundred years old, and an orchard with only twenty old apple trees that have survived the harsh winters, elk, rabbits, wet blue clay soil and constant winds (there are about two calm days a year here).

And now me and my husband want to make all this to an adventure and a blue dream. Starting today, we will first explore and survey the site, then draw our plans and wishes on a big paper, and get digging, planting and building.
No need to buy a membership on a gym. I guarantee that we have aching muscles and sweat running on our necks.

What I find out there now, is mostly blue clay. What I see in front of my eyes, is a blue and white herb garden, a potager and an orchard. How is this done?

We'll see...
