Movin' on

Hi and goodbye everyone, especially those who have written responses to my blogs and become blogfriends. You know who you are. I'm leaving bloggerparty and the other sites which have given me essential early learning experiences in blogging. Now I am convinced I don't have the kind of approach that will earn me enough ongoing money here to fulfil my ambition of travel, my goal. I have bought a domain and a site for two years and will put all my energy into that for a while.

There is something you all need to know about Bloggerparty and I hope the powers here will attend. As I took my blogs off of here I noticed that attached to my posts were a lot of tags and keywords that were ludicrous and even totally unacceptable to me. A lot of my posts had been attached to other blogs as well. This is stealing. Admin had better solve these problems quickly and make Bloggerparty thief proof or you are all wasting your time. Each posting of your stuff on other blogs draws interested people away from your exclusive zone.

How is this happening?

By the way I don't think I have wasted my time here as it taught me a lot, including that if I'm serious about this I must have more control. If I want ad income and the opportunity to control what goes on with my stuff I must have my own site even if I have to overcome my conviction that I am an atechnical sort of animal to do it.

I'm still bumbling around building my new site and solving the arcane mysteries that will enable me to draw traffic, put ads on, and get everything to appear on the right pages. My several interests will have their own locations on the site, accessed from an entry page. I 'll let you know when I'm willing to reveal it to the world and hope many of you will visit me.

Good luck guys and don't be strangers. The world is both more and less bad than you think.

No, it's only the truly keen (like manodogs) who make any real money blogging. It's sad to see you go, as I've enjoyed your insights. I'm still here mainly to interact and not with any hopes of earning money - though manodogs has promised to show me the way!
I hope your new venture allows you the freedom and cash to travel. That's a big goal of mine, as well! Hope you'll still pop in to keep us updated!

I have noticed the ridiculous tags on my posts. I wrote the admin, and got a reply that they were looking in to it. Some of the tags that are added to my posts are highly offensive. I have a hard time believing that this can't be fixed.

I'm afraid I can't be fulsome about prospects for fixing the problem. I first noticed this (and reported it) more than six months ago.

I am going to use my site in a few ways. As a peacenik, social justice oriented person, ageing hippie and good-side spiritually seeking person I want to make a contribution and have chosen to try to provide a voice for victims of extreme cruelty by military, civic or criminal organizations. That will be one stream and of course is not part of my income hopes.

I'll use affiliates and won't give up on adsense yet.

I will also have a page which will be unashamedly commercial and try to attract clients to translation and proofreading companies that asked for my help a while ago. I also have an interesting business idea that might take off better if I can use the net to promote it.

I'll blog on some constant themes and also put anything else that my mind produces on a general page.

As you can gather from my self description I am not into money in a big way but I do want enough to follow my dreams and help people occasionally too.

I would love you to check my new 'place out' and say hello when you feel like it. Any decent human being is welcome and I love making friends with the good people of this world. It's my hobby. I collect human gems.

Maybe I'll go public in about a week or maybe I will wait until something tells me I'm willing to put it all out there. I'm a little nervous about using my actual name but I've always had an over cautious side to my character and want to challenge that.

If the value of each human being is equal to the value of the one you love why would you ever participate in killing by war or any other activity with deadly intent. Xingtiao also at soulcast, blogfeast and reviewparty (oops! That one's gone).
