Motorola Ming
The Motorola MIng is one of the many smart phones available on the market but is very different. Why you may ask? The fact that the phone was one of the first all touch cell phones but it is also a clamshell design.
Since the phone can not be purchased here, I purchased mine off eBay from a respectable seller. Once the phone arrived, I charged it via mini usb and started it up. I inserted my ATT sim card and got ready. Since the phone is made for clients in China, I had to read the manual to translate it in English. That step took the longest. Once in english, the phone began…
The camera is 2MP and can also be used as a buisness card reader for those times were you don’t feel like inputing the information. As far as typing goes, that sucks. The reason why is because you have to use the stylist and type or should I say tap away. Really a time consuming process.
Since the phone has no 3G, service is just plain. I would suggest downloading the web brower Opera to have the best internet. Other features include a talking dictionary and a wide assorment of voice commands.
Finally, since the phone is foreign, you will have to set up all of your features like texting and internet. I suggest using sites like Motorolafans.com and others like that. The phone is very affordable and sturdy since I’ve dropped mine a few times. The cover can be scratched but it takes a deep one like the one I have. Prices vary so check eBay for a nice deal.
