A man in Lincoln County, Tennessee was arrested for sexually abusing nursing home patients. Thad Eatherly faces six counts of rape against a handicapped man and another unknown patient.

Investigators don't know how long supervisors knew about the abuse before it was reported to the proper authorities. Fayetteville Police Detective Joel Massey said an employee alerted authorities about what was happening to patients inside the nursing homes.

Eatherly was employed at Fayetteville's Skills Development Services. Right now, he is currently in jail on a $100,000 bond.

When I found out about this story I was absolutely horrified. Everytime you turn around, there is some sick person being arrested for some kind of sexual abuse. It is so disgusting.

I have to wonder how much this goes on in nursing homes. It's a pretty scary thought that this is happening to elderly people.

I have to wonder how long the supervisors did know about this. Did they turn the other cheek to the abuse?
