Mama went home

Mama got to go home from the hospital Thursday night. Boy was she ever ready. My daughter and I had gone to the grocery store before picking her up from the hospital. We got her a few things she needed to get her by for a few days. I talked to her yesterday morning ( Friday ) and she said her throat was really sore. I asked her if she had gargled with the vinegar and salt water and she said no. I asked her if she had taken her antibiotic and she said yes. So I figured that was a good thing. I can't imagine that she would have strep throat after being on antibiotic in the hospital and at home, but I suppose it is possible.

I called her last night around 5 to check on her again. She is still complaining that her throat is sore. Again I asked her if she had gargled, she said no. I asked her if she had drank anything warm, such as tea with honey, or some warm apple cider. These are some suggestions I had given her earlier to soothe her throat. She said no she had done nothing. I bit my tongue, because she is my mother, and told her that I didn't know what to say to her. If she isn't going to try anything to make her throat feel better, then I guess it will just have to stay sore.
