Luckily, My New Wireless Toshiba Laptop Has A Dial-Up Feature

So, I did it. Knowing absolutely nothing about wireless computers, I bought a nice Toshiba wireless laptop. After all, I convinced myself, I didn鈥檛 know a thing about desktops when I bought my first Apple IIe many years ago. I would learn.

I have had the new computer for several weeks now. Do I know any more about connecting to the internet via the wireless connection than I did before? Not much. I did find a wireless switch button with on and off positions on it.

Well, luckily, I brought along my extra phone cord. Not only didn鈥檛 wireless work like I had dreamed, but my manual gave absolutely no instructions for wireless connections. When I inquired at the front lobby, the lady seemed even more ignorant than I was. So much for wireless on this trip. I think you have to do more than click the switch from off to on, like sign up with a wireless provider or something. Anyone care to enlighten me?
