Local Drive-in taking a stand against Paramount Pictures regarding the new Indiana Jones movie

cost of living | drive in movie | frugal | Indiana Jones | kentucky | ky | Paramount Pictures

As we all know, drive in movie theaters are few and far between.

There has been one in Calvert City, Kentucky for as long as I can remember.

They have great cheeseburgers. I mean outstanding. Plus, they actually make cherry cokes with syrup. Yum.

Anyhow, they are very affordable. $5.00 per adult. No charge for children.

Even though Paramount Pictures will release the new Indiana Jones movie in a few weeks, the drive in will not be showing it. The reason? Paramount pictures told them that they will have to charge all children 5 and over.

I'm glad that the owners are taking a stand on this.

These companies and businesses are going overboard about charging American consumers for everything. What are they doing to do when everyone simply goes broke?

Steve Harrington (the owner) is quoted as saying, "It's their movie. They can do what they want to with it, and this is my drive-in, and I can do what I want with it."

My thoughts? Way to go Steve!
