Like an Ant: Transferring my Blogs

articles | blogs | communications activist | login | writing

I’m like an ant transferring my blogs – from a site where I could not access them. I have 5 title blogs - each one with a distinct purpose in my role as communications activist - and I really groan from anguish, in not being able to add to them. I just think my login has been hacked. Sure, I can open to these blogs but since I cannot log in, I cannot add. So many opportunities have passed where I could have added to them. But since I cannot, there is no other way but hitch in other sites. Posting my views in other channels, however, leaves much to be desired.

I am not contented with just reacting to media issues at Poynter Institute – but I love the feeling that I am with professional writers. Or posting my entries at iTalkNews – once you get to the top, you lose interest. Or writing at OhmyNews where editors are quite selective. The better preference still is to be writing at one’s blogsite - in one’s little corner of the world where one can be free to be oneself. The problem, however, is the key.

I've written, and written, and written Google. Only the part with Google Adsense was solved. They could not write me as my alternate email was compromised, and my security question was not answered. I had chosen one that did not have a discrete answer - discrete as in concrete. In short, my title blogs are gone for good, although the timeless pieces in them may be salvaged for re-print. I treasure each one - especially those reacting on media issues - as I did not blog the usual way people blog. I did them with the discipline instilled in me by my formal courses of writing.

In teaching writing, I used to say, one mark of an amateur writer is writing with a lot of “I’s. But I would do it just for once – to explain my coming here.

Hey, what's with the word, "party" that sounds like it's not serious enough about writing? Frankly, I would have spent more precious time here - if not for the word.

This also happened to me!

Hi Jane! That also happened to me, and I kept on
writing Bloggerparty. It's settled now. It happens
many times. We have to be patient.

They call me clipped chin!

Who can explain why we're having a party?

I had expected from some others to explain why this site is called party. Somehow, slowly, I can see that I'm going to learn from here things on the business side of writing. The business thing is more like it. Am I right?
