Life is so short

Life is short, so we need to make the most of every moment that we are here on this earth. In the past few weeks some close friends and acquaintances have met their maker quite unexpectedly. One man spent Christmas in China, visiting his daughter who is a missionary there. While in China, he had a massive heart attack and died. Another friend of mine has suddenly found that she has pancreatic cancer and it is inoperable. When I was hit by cancer, it was out of the blue. We just never know when life will hand us a curve ball, knick us with a wild pitch, or even knock us out cold.

We need to be ready for life's end. If your life would end tonight, would you know beyond a doubt where you will wake up. Eternity is a long time to spend if you're not in heaven. The book 90 Minutes in Heaven recounts a man's brush with death. He spent 90 minutes in heaven and his true account is inspiring. It is a book that will have a lasting effect on your faith.

I can rest assured that my friends that have died recently will spend the rest of eternity in glory with their heavenly father. This life we lead is only a miniscule part of history when compared to eternity. When I reach heaven I will be greeted by the heavenly hosts and my loved ones. What a glorious day that will be!!

Life is too short for many. I guess that teaches us that we need to live each day to the fullest. It makes you think more about leaving loved ones, even for a short time without saying "I love you" too.

The good that came from my cancer was learning to really live each day. My whole family has a new appreciation for each other ( I have two teenage daughters and a dear hubby.) I wish everyone could truly learn to not sweat the small stuff without having to go through cancer.
Thanks for your input.
