Life Insurance for Kids

There are many different views on life insurance for kids. Some feel that life insurance is a great way to insure your child will have insurance later on in life. If something should happen to your child during their adult life they may not be insurable. Others feel that taking out a life insurance policy on your child is outdated and the smart way to go is a 529 which helps you save money for your child. The most popular belief with life insurance is that the purpose for insurance is to supplement an income and since a child doesn’t work they shouldn’t have life insurance. The decision is up to you but go into this informed. If you or your family has history of chronic health problems buying life insurance is probably the best thing to do. Most financial advisers can agree however, that it’s smart to open up a small life insurance policy for just in case reasons and a 529. Your child can benefit from both.
