Life Insurance

This post is not spam to try to sell life insurance or anything just some thoughts I've had lately about life insurance. Basically, I'm looking to get life insurance for myself. Never really thought about getting it before for some reason but after hearing about it lately I've come to realize that I do need it and so do most other people. In my 20's I really did not care because I figured that if I died that I could care less if I'm cremated, thought it was only to pay for your funeral and stuff. Now, being in my 30's and having a wife and kids and learning a little more about it I feel like an idiot for not having life insurance. Me, being the soul financial provider of the family really needs to be prepared if I were to die today. If I died, no more money would be coming in for my family and they would really struggle to survive and that is a thought that really scares me. I've gotten these offers in the mail before that say that your family can get $50,000, $100,000 even $200,000 if you were to pass away but I think I would prefer to deal with a local insurance place, someone that I can talk to face to face to give me more details on how all of this works. If you have life insurance then I'm sure that you have more knowledge about it then I, fell free to leave me a comment about anything that would help me out. Is there anything to watch out for when purchasing life insurance?
