Life After Graduating College

If you are looking for a way to grow up quickly. Theres no better way to do it than to go college. You go in a sexy hot 18 year old young thing. The boys know you by the name of freshman/freshmeat. You come out a 22 year old mature conservative grown gal with a college degree, a college ring, a college sweetheart perhaps, a couple college stories to tell, and a college headache. Get me out of here, dont look back. But hey. You're grown now, so suck it up. Put that blazer on and get your butt to interviewing because now you've got college loans billing you up the wazoo. But hey you're grown right. You've been to school for four years, you've fell in and out of love. You've lived with several people you didnt know. And now you are done. Arent you grown now? If you have survive Ithaca, you can survive anything right? Well how come I feel like i am going crazy walking around Macy's dusting fixtures. and straightening clothes. How come I have just begun to experiment with my hair. Now I can put it in a bun you know that Brandon. How now I am just figuring out that I am a pretty passive person. Man, when will people stop addressing me as Honey? Why did the toll booth lady talk to me like I was 13 today? I thought I was getting old. I felt like I went on vacation somewhere and came back four years older with natural hair and a slight smile line, but no. I mean that did happen, but I am still young. Not a women yet, because I still run from my problems. I still dont tell people what my problems are or even if I have a problem with them. So. here I thought I was aging but I am still learning and learning and learning.

We are all still learning...

Give yourself a couple of years in the REAL world and you'll be amazed at how much more mature you are. Don't get me wrong, Universities and colleges are great for learning academically and having a laugh but they teach you zippedy doo dah about the real world. And you end up with a massive debt afterwards!

That is completely true

I did not fully understand how the real world worked until I realized for the first few years that I could go out and drink EVERY night instead of like 4 nights a week. I had a job that paid me so I could afford it, plus jobs dont have tests....in other words, it still took a few years after college. Ahhh yes, McGilvery's on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays for 2.00 pounders and a giant tenderloin.........
Now I just try to get to the gym a day or two a week, drink a beer about as often as George W. shows up in the oval, and pay my mortgage. Seeeeee who says real life isnt fun?

Later

well said

hi, i completely agree with ur words. well said. good work. keep it up.

what next?

I'm glad to hear that I am not the only one working bitch jobs to support myself co-dependently with my parents helping out a majority of it and working my butt off to make a name for myself in the dance world.

Time is needed to be mature.
