Life after death

I think most people would like to believe there is some form of existence after death. Personally I think there is. Why else would we be here? Even exist? There must be a reason we are here. Perhaps to learn some crucial lesson? We all learn something new every day, are these the small steps that we must take to get closer to the big lesson? If life is a journey, it has a beginning and an end. But at the end of a journey, we are where we want to be, or where we are supposed to be. So where is that? Why? I think it's a great waste if we are just born to die, don't you? And what form do we take if there is another existence past this one? Is it anything like what we know now, here? I think it's a fascinating question, a big one of course, one that no-one can really answer for certain. I love to hear other people's views on this subject. Perhaps that's why my husband and I can have conversations on it for hours! It was our topic of conversation on our first date! LOL Morbid huh? We still laugh about it, but I guess the curious nature of the subject appealed to us both and started our spark! Nibble on this morsel for a moment or two though: we are made up of energy. The principals of physics state that energy cannot be created nor destroyed but is transferred from one form to another. So what happens to our energy when we die? It doesn't just disappear, so where does it go? And in what form?
