The new CBS poll shows Barack Obama has overcome the negative impact of his Reverend friend Wright. This has led me to believe that either everyone has taken leave of their minds or everyone is ok and it is I that has taken leave of my mind.
How can the Senator’s popularity be on the rise? He has made it perfectly clear he will say whatever the public wants to hear in order to get elected.
Just a short while ago he made a speech in which he made it really clear he could no more get rid of his Pastor than he could get rid of his grandmother. His Pastor according to him was like family.
As a family member the Reverend decided to speak up. He reaffirmed his belief that the white people created the AIDS virus to control the black population. He again declared that the 9/11 attack on the twin towers was a punishment from God for the way we treat other nations.
There has to be more here than meets the eye. Either someone is paying the Reverend a huge amount of money to say these things or the Reverend has a really strong motive for not wanting the Senator elected President of the United States. This then begs the question; if the Reverend doesn’t want the Senator elected why should I vote for him?
Any person in his/her right mind will readily agree that if I want my (family member) friend elected to an office, I will keep a low profile and say nothing or if I say anything it will be to agree with the candidate.
On the other hand, what happened to loyalty? How easy for the Senator to hand the Reverend, a family member, over to the wolves.
This should teach us all a valuable lesson. Senator Obama is more than willing to say and do whatever it takes to get elected. The Senator wears his principals like a neck tie. A neck tie that he can change on a moments notice. John Q. Public doesn’t like the red tie so give me the black one, the public doesn’t like that one either, give me the green one.
If Senator Obama has been listening to the political preaching’s of this mad Reverend for the last twenty years, with no objection, then he must be in agreement. The Pastor, fully knowing that his remarks would impact the candidacy of Senator Obama, decided to go forth with his remarks, WHY? The Senator claimed the Reverend as family until the Reverend decided to speak out, then he disowned him; is that any way treat family?
Apparently I am in the minority. These questions and a host of others do not seem to bother the American public. The voters are not asking for answers. Barack Obama continues to gain wider and greater acceptance with the voting public. The fact that he is willing to say and/or do whatever it takes to get elected makes no difference to the voters.
