So we've all heard the song by Nelly or have seen some rappers with diamonds and gold in their mouths by now. So what exactly is the mythical grill?

I have a staff member who has a grill. She showed me the diamond encrusted mold and informed me that it cost a little over a hundred dollars for the finished product which was in the mail from her home in Texas. So I decided to further investigate.

XXL magazine recently featured a jeweler who makes grills at his store. He informed the magazine that Nelly's grill in the grill video cost 30,000 dollars and featured blue diamonds.

Brunson Jewelry (www.brunsonjewelry.com) determines the price by tooth, anywhere from $40 for 14k to $300 for platinum. If any of you watched the last episode of the Flavor of Love, Flav's grill for Hoopz (14k) doesn't seem that impressive.

Gangsta Gold (see the link at the bottom) claims to be the most reputable grill dealer around. I'm not too convinced as there are only a few random photos and I didn't see any prices, I'm sure they are there but I got scurred and left the site immediately.

The best grill site I visited was www.grillsbypaulwall.com. Paul Wall featured such pieces as the Ice Tray, about $400 per tooth and also the Baller on a Budget at $75.00 per tooth.
