Legalizing Drugs in Mexico Latest Weapon Vs. U.S.
Legalizing drugs in Mexico is on its way, just in time to really inflame passions in the ongoing debate over illegal immigration.
This move will effectively drain off America's immigration enforcement resources, which will have to be diverted into the "war on drugs." But drugs are becoming as much a political problem as they are a social and moral dilemma.
Judging from the magnitude and determination of the pro-amnesty crowds Monday, the immigration issue -- drug-fueled as it may be -- is here to stay. Since President Bush has already admitted defeat in this phase of the war (i.e., no mass deportations ahead), it is time to retreat, dig trenches and circle the wagons on immigration as a whole -- not just illegal immigration.
As has been pointed out on several nationally syndicated radio and television programs, the states of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California are already invaded and compromised and there is no hope of controlling the illegal tidal wave.
That leaves the U.S. interior and Eastern states, but even they are quietly being overrun by not only Mexican illegals, but immigrants leaking in from the coasts.
U.S. customs and immigration police have been busting employers for hiring illegals, but it's too late. That's why it appears Mexico is making an even bigger move to decriminalize many street drugs and therefore make them more of a social cataclysm on this side of the border.
White flag time. Where do we go from here?
