Legacy Lite

Have you ever wanted to try the Sims 2 Legacy Challenge but found it took you WAY too long to even get past the 3rd generation let alone 10th? Then you should try the Legacy Lite Challenge recently released by Pinstar on the Sims 2 BBS. The full Legacy rules can be found at www.legacychallenge.com and the Lite rules can be found by searching for Pinstar’s post on the BBS at www.thesims2.com. For your convenience here are the full rules.

Objective: Create the best family you can in 3 full generations.

Rules:

ALL the base rules from the original Legacy Challenge are the same.
The challenge ends with the birth of the 4th generation, not the 10th

Scoring:

All scoring is the same as the original legacy challenge with the following exceptions

Xtreme start: Double the bonus
7 platinum grave set: Double the bonus
The Ghost color bonus: Triple the bonus
NPC bonus: No longer worth points (they are still viable to marry in though)
Free Roaming Ghosts: Half bonus

New bonuses:

All or nothing: 1 point

When you receive your first chance card, pick any of the three options (Option 1, Option 2 or ignore) Take note of which button you push. From that point all, you must push the same button on all future chance cards, no matter what (If you want this bonus that is).

Party all the time: 1 or 2 points

Pick 1 sim that is born in the family. Throw a birthday party for them at EACH stage of life (infant to toddler, toddler to child, etc) If all 5 parties are 'good' parties, give yourself a point. If all 5 are "Roof Raisers" give yourself 2 points. This can only be done with 1 sim.

Only the best: 1 point

If the heirs and heiresses of the family only marry sims they have a triple lightning bolt attraction to and no less, give yourself a point.

Noble composure: 1 point

If you go the 4 generations without a single family member having a bladder failure or passing out from energy loss, give yourself a point.
The actions of guests, toddlers and infants do not impact this bonus.

I’ve found the new rules to be fun and exciting because it forces me to pack all the action into 3 short generations instead of ‘waiting’ until x generation to complete certain objectives. Happy Simming!

It was a centerfold spread of a nearly naked redheaded bimbo, and it was quite clear that the object of the game was to get said bimbo into bed with you.

I have had nothing to do with either SIMS or MAD ever since.

Well, you've obviously never played the game before... because the chick on the packaging in the red dress isn't even in the game. Although I'm sure you could design a sim to look like her. Like they say... you can't tell a book by it's cover. The Sims 2 is designed with extremely open ended game play, so the game is really whatever you make of it. In the most recent expansion Open for Business, you can focus entirely on building a business empire if you like. The game is rated T for teen, not M for mature...that in and of itself should tell you something. It's definetly way more tame than a PG-13 movie.
