Learning Real Estate Ropes

My husband and I have been trying to figure out what we can do to get our debt paid down and off. We did the obvious things like don't use our credit cards, cut down spending, paying more when we can, but our debt is pretty high and those aren't helping much right now. We also would like to be financially independent and maybe even a little wealthy. We decided that getting into real estate is the way to go. The risk is high but so is the reward.

It sort of started with us watching House Flip shows. There are two channels that show them. We have been watching them for about 8 months now. We've learned a lot but we also know we can't learn it all until we do it ourselves. But I do think watching those shows has helped us see things in a different way and we won't just go blinding into this venture.

I even took a real estate class to help us. Some of it I knew some I didn't and all in all I think the class was worth it. I can even go back and ask for help now if I need to.

We haven't got our first property yet but we have been doing research and checking into properties. We also know we can't afford anything big or expensive yet because you have to build up to that. But we are willing to do what we have to get to to that point.

It's been an interesting experience so far and I need a place to put my experiences and hopefully help someone else out who might want to try this. Because honestly you can never hear the same thing too many times in trying to get into real estate. And while I'm not an expert on it, I have learned that at least.
