The top-ten most-popular stations play to a Spanish language cultured audience. Although there is nothing wrong with that; after all, advertising brings us most media: cable TV, movies, radio, "free television" and the Internet also is made possible by advertising.
But that the "Free enterprise system" will not provide us with a convienient way to listen to our own young american songwriters, singers and guitar pickers in our largest media-producing centers says that there is something wrong with the way the airwaves are apportioned in the United States.
Kristy Hanson does not sing about that, of course; Kristy Hanson sings about things that we can relate to in our everyday lives: Comfort for the lady when She's Been Waiting for so long, but that is not her Swansong, I think.
Her voice has a range similar to that of Mariah Carey, except starting from a lower register and also has the ability to carry us away on a melodic journey.
