Just a reminder that EPPIE 2008 is open

Just a reminder that EPPIE 2008 is open for entries until October 7, 2007, 12 midnight EST.
What is EPPIE? The longest-standing and most-inclusive e-book award of its kind. EPPIE is a professionally-judged award, currently in its 9th year. It includes 23 categories of fiction and non-fiction. The full list of categories can be found on the FAQ page at http:// epicauthors.com/eppiefaq2008.html
Who is eligible to enter the EPPIE? Anyone with an e-book (of 10K or more words) that released for sale between Oct 1, 2006 and Sept 30, 2007 is welcome to enter the EPPIE. The author need not be an EPIC member; non-members are heartily welcomed. The book need not be published with an EPIC member publisher. All eligible e-books are welcome, whether they are self/subsidy or vanity published, published with indie/e/p or with NY. Reprints of print books (now released in e-book) or reprints of older e-books, brought out in e-book again, are eligible to enter, as long as the content is published in e-book during the contest eligibility period and has not entered EPPIE before.
What are the costs? Members pay $20 and non-members $30 to enter the EPPIE. In addition, you must provide a single PDF copy of the book AS IT SELLS to be placed on our secure judging server. All e-book copies will be destroyed at the end of judging. All PDF files must be without DRM (digital rights management/security), which would interfere with judges opening the copies we send them.
What do I get for entering? If you final, you get a certificate, promotion as a finalist and bragging rights...as well as an icon for your site or to place on your covers. If you win, you get all of the above, plus one of the EPPIE statues.
Where can I find rules and guidelines for the EPPIE? You can find the FAQ at epicauthors.com/eppiefaq2008.html and additional rules for entry at http:// epicauthors.com/eppierules2008.html
How do I enter the EPPIE? http:// epicauthors.com/eppierules2008.html There is an entry form at the bottom of the page. EPPIE books must be entered by the author OR publisher, if the author is unable to enter for him/herself. In the case of an anthology, the book may be entered by the editor, publisher, or any single author within the anthology. Once the entry form is filled out, you can send your book files (PDF only, please) to the submissions address and pay for your entry by either check/money order or PayPal. See the rules page for details.
