Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon Scrape Paint

Goody's Cool Orange 500 is making me thirsty, ah, that's better...the NASCAR race held at the half-mile oval at Martinsville, Virginia was the site of two long-time teammates fender scraping finish when Jimmie Johnson was exiting the final curve riding the inside yellow line with Jeff Gordon coming-up right behind him and battering Jimmie Johnson's car from behind. (This is how people "parallel park in Lost Angeles!)
The idea behind this tactic (keeping in mind that this is occuring at high speed) is to lift the leading car's rear wheels off of the race track, causing it to lose traction so that the driver backs off on the throttle so the car behind him can get around him and be first over the finish line winning $198,000, which will pay for a lot of paint jobs.
This was the second "shorttrack' race for the Car of Tomorrow and both the Hendrick Motor Sport's Chevrolets were set-up and handled to the satisfaction of Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon, so the other teams will keep trying different combinations of suspension adjustments until they learn how to get the CoT work like the cars of yesterday, which will be used in the next race.
The TOYOTA racing news is that Dale Jarrett finished 496 laps and was the top Camry driver with Dave Blaney completing 485 laps and coming in 37th, still the most consistant New Motor City driver.
