Jade Empire

Well, after one week of owning this wonderful game, I beat it thrice, and I'm merely an hour away from beating it yet again.

I am not a hardcore gamer. I guess you could say I am an apprentice. I often turn to forums and guides when I'm stuck, just as I did this morning with an issue in Jade Empire; I posted my problem, and within 15 minutes I had the answer! I was most grateful.

I received that game as a gift and, like it is the case with many games I've played in the past, I have been in a time warp, unable to do anything but play (the dishes will clean themselevs when there are none left in the cupboards, won't they?) and find new twists to the main plot.

Those "choose your path" games are my favorites: Black and White, Fable, Knights of the Old Republic... to see the same story under a different perspective is, well, awesome! For someone who enjoys gaming that is; I guess if you're the kind of person who goes out in bars and enjoy getting drunk with friends, such "intellectual" activities would not satisfy you.

The soundtrack of Jade Empire is also impressive, composed by Jack Wall. I had to search for his name, I did not know who composed the music and honestly will have to research Mr. Wall further as I have no idea of what his previous works were - but apparently he is an A-list composer/producer.

I have not renewed my subscription to City of Heroes/Villains; my hands are tied with my XBox and I don't think my bounds will loosen any time soon. At least not until I rule the Jade Empire.
