It's time to think about starting a corporation.

I've been thinking about incorporating for some time. It would help with the building. Put all the real estate holdings under the corporate name, and there are certain benefits we can take advantage of. For example, we can do like a neighbor who has a real estate corporation and write off the cost of a minivan (that would only be used to drive to the property, or in business use).

We've even got a catchy title for it that I'm not going to share out here in public, but it uses the first initials of my family's first names. It also ends up sounding European, upscale, and vogue.

I'll be honest, I have handled several legal proceedings completely on my own, and I am not adverse to taking on large multinational corporations, and threatening legal action until they back down. I've done this with the manufacturer of my car when they tried to cheat me, a horrible software company in New York that violated a state law regarding gift certificates, and I've even gotten help from my Congressman in taking on the government itself when they screwed up some paperwork that threatened to keep me from being able to go on my honeymoon. More on that story some other time. I have also had a lawyer try to hire me while I was still in high school. I say all of this, because I want to make you understand that I am capable of handling myself with legal matters and in a courtroom just fine.

But I stumbled onto a place today that has me wondering why I would ever bother to incorporate for myself. http://www.incparadise.com For $89 plus state fees, I don't have to go to all the hassle. I'm totally sold.
