It's official: Ash, Abhishek engaged !

Movie stars Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai have agreed to get married, according to sources in Mumbai’s show business.

From all accounts, the star couple had received the sanction of their parents.Film industry sources said Abhishek had popped the question to Aishwarya on Sunday.

In the evening, there was a Bachchan-Rai family dinner.
For the last three months, there has been much conjecture about the possibility of a marriage between the two, who have co-starred in four films, including the just-released Guru.

The wedding date is expected to be announced soon.

So far, the 31-year-old actor has not committed himself to any date before the media.

Ash who was crowned Miss World in 1994, told media and fans that she would like to share her marriage with everyone."I'm a normal girl. I do believe in the institution of marriage.
It'll be a joyous occasion for me and one I'd like to share with everyone," she said.
