It is Fashion to Abuse George Bush

Abusing George Bush | music | Terrorism and People

I often listen more voices abusing George Bush, honourable president of America, than codemning terrorism.

It pertains to degradation of humanity. We fear so much from terrorists that we shudder to criticise them openly lest they should pump us with bullets.

But George Bush can be abused anywhere by anybody in the name of democracy. Forget bullets he won't give you even a slap.

Terrorists network is so strong that it has taken almost all the countries in its grip and the dreaded devils can strike anywhere and cause massacres (kill even women and children mercilessly). But the cowards in the name of humanity still want to show mercy on them and hate brave people like Bush.

George Bush is the only brave man in the world who is trying his best to break the power of terrorism in the world and he needs support. He is saving not only you and your family and but the future of your children too.

Then for a good deed we have to make sacrifices. Don't we?

Why People Trash George "Dubya" Bush

George Bush LIED and keeps lying nearly every time he opens his mouth. What does it take for people to wake up to that? He's not a hero, he's the worst president ever and the most dangerous Idiot in history. It's not that it's fashionable, uh...'Beauty Queen', it's because people are genuinely angry.

At what?

How he LIED about all the reasons for going into Iraq. Every single one of them.

How he puts incompetant shlubs in charge of important positions - like Brown and Chertoff, who had no previous experience in 'protecting' anything, in charge of homeland security. Homeland security, Beauty Queen, being what is supposed to protect us from further terrorist attacks and even natural disasters. Which is why the response to Katrina (so, that big Hurricane thingy that everybody was talking about, Beauty Queen) was so hopelessly f@#ked up.

Like how he keeps giving hand-outs to his rich buddies and ripping off your average American

Like how he screwed up all of America's alliances with the rest of the world

Like how he caused untold tens of thousands of more terrorists by invading a country that never had a damned thing to do with 911 and hadn't been a threat to even it's neighbors in over a decade (so that would be Iraq, Beauty Queen)

Like how he transformed a federal surplus to the biggest federal deficit in the history of the world (so, that means before Bush, Beauty Queen, we didn't have a debt, and now we have a really big one, okay?)

Like how he is still using 911 to erode the Constitution with things like the Patriot Act (which means a van can show up at your house right now, Beauty Queen, and pick you and your golden tiara up, kidnap you, hold you for a mock trial in a local basement and summarily throw you in prison for life. Or to be tortured overseas. Or just put a bullet into your head and be done with you. You will not be able to defend yourself, BQ, and there is no oversight on this process. Your government can just take you away and nobody will ever see you again.) and Domestic Spying, all of which is completely illegal and the polar opposite of everything for which the Constitution stands.

The Constitution, Beauty Queen is a document that was written by the American Forefathers (so, a bunch of old guys, but important old guys, you know?) and was intended for times of peace and times of War, otherwise, they warned, the document is useless. George Bush and his evil band of pirates strive every day to render the Constitution useless.

Ben Franklin -so another one of these old, important guys- once said that "those who would sacrifice Freedom for Security will get neither and lose both."

I don't trash Bush because it's fashionable to do so. I trash him for being a genuinely evil man. You need to spend more time in front of a book and less time in front of a mirror, Beauty Queen.Maybe you'd be angry too, or at least have an idea about what's going on.

Ta!

p.p. This by the way was just a few of the reasons many people all over the world trash George 'Dubya' Bush, it is by no means a comprehensive list. Just off the top of my head.

Yes. Attacking Bush is like

Yes. Attacking Bush is like paillette handbags.

Being the fashion-forward babe that I am, I started long before everyone else thought it was in vogue.

Fortunately, attacking Bush is a new classic. It never goes out of style.

Democracy

My understanding is that Mr Bush was elected by the people. Now they don't like him, and his action over Iraq is larglely to blame. I think that there are a couple of things that are relevant here (a) you are in a democracy and you have the choice to elect someone else at the next election (b) Criticising the man and not his actions is pretty awful, (c)showing disrespect for the position of President of the USA is not helpful.

I believe that politicians deserve more support and respect - it is an incredibly difficult role, you can never please everyone. So many who fiercely criticise have no idea what it is like to be a politician. I believe MOST do their best.

IntricateGirl's picture

Tottie, it's not nearly so

Tottie, it's not nearly so easy as all that.

As to him being elected by the people, he was not. He was installed in office by the Supreme Court, an institution that is supposed to be separate from the office of President. It has been shown time and time again that the people did NOT vote for him for President, but it was contested over and over, and went before the Supreme Court. My President was Al Gore, and now I have no President. There has been speculation that the second election was also rigged. If you can get elected legally, then you should not need a campaign contributor who manufactured the voting machines that have been shown to have an error bias in Bush's favor.

Iraq is not the only reason he is to blame. That would be too easy. First there was the election debacle. Second he sat with a blank look while his nation was attacked until he was told he needed to do something (completely unforgivable act by a leader- it is not leading). Third was shifting the war from Afghanistan, a nation that we legitimately had a gripe with to Iraq, a nation who tried to bomb his daddy. There was no explanation given for this. Sometime after this he has given only token payments towards aide efforts after the tsumani, insulted other nation's leaders, enjoyed his vacation while a US city was devastated (while setting several people up for a fall so he wouldn't have to), he has time and again appointed unqualified people because they spoke loudly on his behalf, and released the name of an undercover CIA agent because her husband was a critic of the war and was in a position to know what he was talking about when he said there was no cause for going to war. And all of these would be major scandals were it not for Bush raising the bar higher on what constitutes a scandal. Rights guaranteed by our Constitution and Bill of Rights are being violated widely because he cannot walk across the street and get a warrant, a process that was already been in place. No, instead he determined he doesn't need one. He decided that he is above the Bill of Rights. Right now, it has been shown that there are people being held by the US in Cuba because they had the gall to wear a Casio watch, a brand favored by bombers. This is not a democracy anymore. This is somewhere near the seventh level of hell.

It sounds like you may be located outside the US, and if so, let me give you some insight into "American thought". One of the most sacred things we can do is to criticize our President. We do not see him as infallible, but just a man. That's the great American dream- to come from nothing and be able to become President. And that sort of the point of the President. He is a commoner. He is not a king, he is not a dictator. He is President. That is the same title we give to corporate heads that can be voted in and out on a whim.

People here began by criticizing his actions. At some point, it becomes necessary to decide whether he has had a string of bad luck, or if the person is completely incompetent for the job. Sure, it's complete Argumentum ad hominem. Unless he really is incompetent...

Finally (quit cheering- heehee), politicians do NOT deserve our respect over what we would give anyone else. They are simply humans. I do not respect them because of the job they have chosen to do. They will either do it honorably, or they deserve every bit of criticism they must endure.

On account of being a democracy and run by the people, we are the only nation in the world that has to keep a government four years, no matter what it does. -Will Rogers

And I wholly apologize for

And I wholly apologize for my wordiness, but I wanted to give a real answer concerning why I disagree.

In the interest of getting

In the interest of getting you elected, I will decline. :D

TO BE A PRESIDENT OF AMERICA IS NOT EASY

In the democratic country constructive criticism is most welcome for checks and balances and keep the Government functioning. The challenges faced by the president of America are so crucial. the fortitude of president Bush is admirable. But on conducting wars and the masacre of the innocents and also the lives of his own americal soldiers! One remains silent and tearful.

Respecting Presidents

The politicians that deserve respect will get it. Now, anybody see any politicians deserving respect......? Anybody?

p.p. and IntricateGirl, this place is all about wordiness. Go off, baby, let 'er buck. You made some damn fine points.

I was once told this quote

I was once told this quote awhile back. It's from Winston Churchil.

"If a man is not a liberal at age 20, then he has no heart. If he is not a conservative at age 40, then he has no braing."

Needless to say I was talking to an Office Manager for a Republican Representative so...

But anyway, I think man people complain because we can. And everyone needs someone else to criticize. It just seems like it's a part of our nature.

I've found as I get older I do grow more conservative but I think that all people who support certain politicians, leaders, athletes, heroes, etc. can really do is to endure and not let it get to them. For example, Bush is still going to do what he thinks is right and the criticism isn't stopping him from doing it.

Props to standing up for the President.

A Scoundrel

I say he is a proven scoundrel and if you still defend him at this point you will forever no matter what he does to Your country.

Props to reading the news from multiple sources and with a critical eye. And holding people responsible for their actions.

Props to that.
