Issues, Issues Let's Paaaarty!!
So the end of the Convention last night was dull at best and boring! Being the staunch "liberal" that I am tagged on a daily, I might as well put in my two cents here!
The Republicans throw a lousy party man! Obama certainly moved his crowd...wanna know why? Because he actually talked about the issues that this country faces! McCain/Palin where too busy telling us who they are! Now I don't know about you, but McCain is not an unknown person...we have heard more about his "record" as a POW then we have heard about Britney Spears twaat shot!!
They where busy, busy, bees telling this country how great they are and how not great Obama is...meantime Obama is out on the road attempting to make a difference...The one thing they kept sneering at was Obamas record versus Palins record...now why would they do that? Because they believe that in reality when McCain kicks the bucket she will be the next President...not only is that scary on oh so many levels, but they themselves know that it's a lose- lose for this country! So issues aside, let's talk about Britneys twaat...way more interesting and hell who parties better than Britney?

You Always Manage to Keep your Blogs Interesting!
If the Republicans weren't scared to death of Obama,they would have talked more about the issues and less about him. They are trying to "sell" the team to a hopefully weary American public. As the economy worsens (and yes, you did hear right, Bush was telling us that the economy was doing much better even though the report today contradicts that) more and more people are going to realize that Bushonomics just don't work. In the meantime, I have to wonder why after 26 years in the Senate, McCain is only just now thinking about change.

I was just about to edit this post to add what the papers are saying today about the economy...thanks for the lead in...so here goes...Americans lost a whopping 84,000 jobs last month alone!!That's EIGHTY FOUR THOUSAND jobs...How the hell can the Republicans combat these figures? They can't lie even that much...actually they will try to lie about it and hope that the American public is stupid enough not to feel it. Amazing! To ignore something like this is pure evil...but lets not forget these are the same people that ignored New Orleans for WEEKS and didn't care enough to save hundreds of lives, because after all Mr Brown was busy getting accolades from Bush on what a stellar job he was doing. They disgust me, they really do.

from all these jobs will see it quite that way Mz Zola. I have lost jobs myself in the past and I do not blame anyone but myself (RARELY) or the idiot that fires me. But you are right when you say they will try to blame congress for it...what they don't include in there little rants about the Democratic Congress is that ANYTHING this congress tries to do gets shot down with a veto by their Nazi leader Bush...so yeah I don't put that beyond them.

Here's the deal about comparing Palin's experience to Obama's - unless you exaggerate to the point of LYING about Palin's experience there is NO COMPARISON!!! Obama worked with over 90,000 people in his community service program in Illinois. Palin was Mayor of a town of 5,500 and the City Council forced her to hire a City Administrator that did most of the nuts and bolts work. Obama was Senator for an entire district in Illinois for over 4 years that was 14 times bigger than the town of Wa-whosits. Palin has been Govenor of a state with less than 1 millions people for 1 1/2 years. Obama has worked with the Senate on budgetary items. The State Senate in AK balanced the AK budget.
But, let's take Palin's "experience" one step further. Since the Rethugs are busy claiming that Palin has more "executive experience" than Obama let me remind you and everyone else that Palin also has more "executive experience" than MCSAME!! That's right, McSame's experience in the Senate DOES NOT QUALIFY as "executive experience" any more than Obama's does.
Is it any wonder that Palin is running on the "hockey-mom" ticket instead of touting her experience in government? Because she really has NO EXPERIENCE in government - although she has plenty of experience in lobbying.

Obama for having the guts and grace to do Community Service work! How very ugly and smug they came across last night...ugh! Who in their right minds sneers about something as noble as that? They call him inexperienced because he gives a crap? I mean REALLY???

That's the entire problem with what's going on in the Republican Party. They have no foundation for their candidates. Their candidates are MORE OF THE SAME FAILED POLICIES THAT HAVE BROUGHT THIS COUNTRY TO ITS KNEES. So, they lie. THEY LIE!!! Because they have nothing else. They know damned good and well that if they told the truth they would lose 50% of their base. The other 50% like things the way they are.
I have no problem with differences of opinion on policy. I don't like their policies but that's ok. It's their right to disagree with me - ya-da ya-da blah-blah-blah. But I can not abide THE LYING!!!!! I wish, I wish, I wish that there was a way to indict them for the lies they are telling because I believe THOSE LIES ARE CRIMINAL.

This country was founded on Community Service (well minus the Indian factor) It's so very hypocritical of them to sneer at that and the very same day praise themselves for helping out the people of New Orleans with their fund raising at their Convention...Can ya say PANDERING?? ACK! It also says a whole lot that they actually believe the American Public can be that blind sided. Amazing. It's a "Look over here everyone, ignore that man behind the curtain" The lying sooner than later will be dealt with...Obama and Biden both will be quick to point out the FACTS when they start the debates. I sort of feel sorry for Palin as she is in WAY over her head.
